As far back as antiquity, doctors were present on the Egyptian pyramid worksites overseeing the health of workers. During the 18th century, French philosopher, Condorcet, recognised that preventive medicine, with its measures of preventing disease and injuries rather than curing them, prolonged life and improved general health.

Preventive care includes measures such as examinations and screening tests tailored to age, health and family history, systematic vaccination campaigns launched by the WHO, regular medical check-ups for school students and workers, free mammograms for women over a certain age, and the application of epidemiological research towards preventing diseases.

Not only do we encourage this type of medicine, but we believe it is vital for the preservation of future generations and their capacity to respond to new health needs.
